28 - 29 June 2018 - Bourges
The Sampo Meetings offer a space for sharing and exchanging ideas for people interested in the musical instrument Sampo - musicians, composers, researchers, programmers or simply curious minds.
This year, with the ReDi-Musix project (a network for distributing mixed music), the Meetings will be oriented towards pedagogy, with two concerts, a round table and debates. Representants of partner conservatories, as well as developers of Sampo, will be present to share their experience and debate with the public.
Sampo is an innovative instrument of the 21st century to increase the sonorities of any acoustic instrument. Independent of all musical aesthetics, Sampo adapts equally to improvisation, jazz, modern and contemporary music, providing access to the repertoire of mixed music.

The concert programme also includes works by Barthélémy, Blardony, Cavanna, Gubitsch, Oliveira, chosen by the performers Monika Streitová and Serge Bertocchi and drawn from the repertoire of mixed music, transcribed for Sampo.
Round table: Sampo in music education
10h - Médiathèque de Bourges
Eight conservatories and music schools in France and Portugal took part in the RéDi-Musix project - the network for distributing mixed music. This project supported by the French ministry of culture aims to interconnect the conservatories and music shools and help exchanging and sharing pedagogical pieces and mixed music works from the repertoire of 20th and 21st centuries.
In th framework of this round table, we suggest a return on experience and a debate around the RéDi-Musix project. This event is directed to both project partners and everyone else interested.

Concert: Highlights
17h - Médiathèque de Bourges
Concert by students from partner conservatories in the framework of the RéDi-Musix project. The eight partner conservatories (Annecy, Tours, Nantes, Saint-Nazaire, Paris 9th district, Noisy-le-Sec, Saint-Étienne, Porto) have had Sampos at their use during one year, each of them having been able to use it as they wished playing either repertoire pieces or creating new works.
This concert gives an insight to their work during the year 2017-2018.
